I bought my first Nordkapp 6 months after my first glass boat (Seda Impulse) and found that it only took a few weeks to get really comfortable. I find after paddling my 8' flat bottom whitewater/surf boat (Pyranha Storm) for a while the Nordkapp seems pretty tippy, but within 10 minutes, I'm back in the groove. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
Clearly written by somone who has never paddled one. >>>> Yeah, but . . . there's a heckuva difference between a sweet handling, reasonable boat like the Diamante, and an obsolescent fiberglass snake like a Nordkapp. I suspect a lot of people paddle Nordkapps due to the charisma factor . . . "He's gotta be one heck of a kayaker -- he paddles a Nordkapp." *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
