Oops! The hydrofoil record I gave in the previous post has since been surpassed twice, most recently by Mark Drela aboard MIT's "Decavitator" on 10/27/91. The 100-meter human-powered watercraft record now stands at 21.28 mph (18.50 knots). That's what I get for reading the table upside-down.
