[Paddlewise] The color of rubber

     I believe the logic goes something like this: The inclusion of Carbon 
Black in rubber products helps to absorb UV rays and protects the rubber from 
degradation due to UV exposure.  Remember when tires were white? Remember how 
quickly they became "weather checked"? No? Geez, how old am I anyway ??
