Gotta share this one from the Coast Guard pre-recorded media messages I check daily: Two American fisherman were found adrift 30 miles out from Tofino, B.C. after they had left Uculet two days earlier for a morning of fishing in their small pleasure craft. They waved a freighter down, who radioed a fish boat which towed the men back. Their motor had conked out two days earlier. The men had no distress flares and no VHF radio. They had not told anyone they were going out fishing, so know one had been looking for them. The CG report ends rather abruptly, by saying the individuals were very fortunate. Just a reminder to everyone, safety is as safety does.
