Hi, I like to pass this information, even if it might be only of interest of Nova Scotians or Maritimers. A friend has improved his website -he runs stitch and glue kayak building workshops- and added one feature which is of broader interest. http://disc.server.com/Indices/126510.html is the direct link to a Volkskayaker Forum. Kayaker can post notes and check postings of others, like a pin board. If somebody is looking for people to go paddling with, trading used stuff..... The site is brand new, so traffic is a bit slow -ignore the stuff we posted to play with it. We are spreading the word about it now, and it hopefully will get better as soon as more paddlers know about it. Next season it might be the place to contact fellow kayakers in Nova Scotia and arrange trips and outings. Another note: Just in case somebody is in the neighborhood and likes to pop in. The Small Wooden Boat Association of NS meets tomorrow -Thursday- evening in the Maritime Museum in Halifax _at_ 7 for the monthly meeting. This time one of the members will give a presentation of a Greenland kayak (skin, eh im mean canvas, on frame) he built in the last 2 month. Sounds interesting. Cheers Ulli Dr. Ulli Hoeger Dept.
