        NOT a license.  It is state registration.

This isn't a big deal if you bought the boat in Pennsylvania,

        No. They will levy the PA sales tax on your boat if you cannot
demonstrate that you paid a state sales tax where you reside.  I live in NJ
and I paid the tax there or in Florida where I bought one.  They cannot tax
again.  They are satisfied if you paid the tax Somewhere.  I also bought one
boat in Delaware, which has no sales tax.  They did not reguire that I pay
it to them.

        Supposedly (I haven.t tested it)  the F&G Registration supercedes
DCNR stickers required for state parks, and also for county level parks.
