A group of us are considering paddling in the Discovery islands. The guide book lists several sets of tidal rapids (Yuculta, Dent, Upper & Lower Okisollo, Hole-in-the-wall (my favorite rapid name), Surge Narrows/Beazley passage, and Arran), and that the slack water times for all of these are based on the predictions for Surge Narrows. I have software that predicts slack for Surge Narrows, but have no clue as to the extent that the Surge slack time must be adjusted in order to predict the others. Does anyone have information that would allow me to know the relationships between these?
I've had a great deal of satisfaction from WXTide32 Version 2.6. A quick peruse of the Tide Stations shows Yuculta and Surge Narrows, and the program will predict tides of custom stations, designated by the user, from the tide station data.
For more info check out http:www.GeoCities.com/Silicon Valley/Horizon/1195/WXTide32.html.
Needless to say I'm not associated, just a happy user.
