I'll be taking my kayak out to the Colorado River at Willow Beach (12 Miles below Hoover Dam) however I don't know much about the area. Do kayakers paddle upstream from this location to get to the hot springs, or is the water to fast? If I go down stream is there no returning until I find a road and hitch hike back? I think I have heard of people paddling in this area both up and down stream but I'm not sure they are talking about putting in at Willow Beach. If you have any experience in these waters please let me know.
