Thanks for the reprint from Professor Inverbon. I take it, it had your
"seal of approval?"

The Prof said:

<<Who has not been tempted to fondle the silky supple body of a wanton
young
seal. It is enough to drive any young west coast lad to cast away his
Victoria's Secret catalogue and go screaming wildly to the beach.>>

Speaking of "Victoria's Secret", today I bumped into one of the girls
from our canoe club who works in my building. She is a very, very
attractive brunette, originally from Australia. She had returned from
the BC interior, where the Dragon Boat races had been held. She
described in detail how her team played on the Victoria's Secret theme
(they are all from Victoria, you see) by wearing delicate lingerie under
their paddling clothing, and then stripping down to their underwear for
the last heat. Apparently, they created quite a stir (though they lost
the race). It was a long stretch this afternoon for me between coffee
breaks. I went for a cold glass of water in the end :-)

In the first part of the century the commmodore of the Sudbury Canoe Club
routinely practiced C1 in only a jock strap. The community responded to such
behavior by electing him mayor.
