My brother worked for a guy who builds composite rowboats. They're probably 36" beam, very round-bottomed, and about 14'-15' long. I haven't paddled..oops..rowed one yet, but they look to be very fast. The company, Glacier Park Boatbuilders, builds these boats all winter long, and then runs a boat tour concession in Glacier NP during the summers--what a job!! I later met the guy who built the mold--he's a local strip boat builder and Art had him build the first one in wood. He now builds a few on a limited basis. (I can't afford them, but I'd rather have one of the wood ones--very beautiful!) Shawn :any one out there been in contact with cool :row boats? : :bye bye bliven -- Shawn W.
