G'Day

First thanks to Jackie and Glen for explaining what was going on with the
unwanted attachments to my EMail. I'm now in the market for a service that
doesn't do this. I just hope that the people who recently made enquiries
about The Who's Who service have not received this particular attachment and
I apologise sincerely if you have.

Regarding venomous spiders and kayaking

What Aussies call the funnel web spider may be related to the Hobo Spider
but it doesn't sound the same - the symptom for being bitten by a funnel web
frequently used to be death. Now there is an antivenene and if you're bitten
you get to a hospital as quickly as possible. I haven't heard of anyone
dying from a funnel web spider bite in years but when I was much younger it
did happen occasionally. I first learn't about them the night before I
emigrated to Australia. PS to maintain the relevance to kayaking - the other
thing I check for spiders is inside my foldable kayak which is left to dry
out on trestles under the verandah before being stored.

All the best, PeterO
