Anyone have experience or thoughts on the use of inflatable PFDs, e.g. SOSpenders, Mustang Survival, etc. for paddling? Seems they'd be much more comfortable than a conventional PFD and they provide much more buoyancy, but they might make getting back in the boat more difficult. Also, they come in manual models that require a tug on a rip cord to inflate and automatics that inflate as soon as they are submerged. I can think of pros and cons for each. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Tue Oct 03 2000 - 11:32:08 PDT
