Thanks Doug for telling my your side of the paddle with Natalie. She'll be camping witn me this weekend at Houston Canoe Club's Rendezvous. Did she tell you she was going to give a workshop on making paddling clothes and other accessories? I think she is giving another one as well. But she is bringing a big cold front back. We'll actually have to put on long sleeves to paddle this weekend. I'm taking a rolling class so I may even have to put on my capiline and a paddling jacket. But it will warm up again. I have paddled in shorts at Christmas. So come on down and visit some of our favorite alligator haunts. I'm leading a trip on the Neeches River which runs through the Big Thicket National Preserve for Thanksgiving. This is an area of side sloughs, bayous, and swamps. We'll camp on huge white sandbars and eat our Thanksgiving dinner there as well.
