Ya know, it's getting tougher for locals to camp in the cooler weather. In summer we can go anywhere we want....as long as the bugs and heat don't bother us. Ha! In the "season" I'm finding that everywhere has been booked for months. I tried America Outdoors, Long Key, and Pennekamp. So.......I "spoke" with Monica and we are going to ask Paradise Paddlers members to "host" the visitors. In that case, we will arrange some kind of happy hour mingle in the evening at a local watering hole. I spoke with my ex (who lives on a canal in Key Largo) and, weather permitting...blah blah.., he's willing to take some people out in his boats (his son-in-law can drive the other if we go at the same time). It may just be for a sunset cruise. However, let me know if any of you are fisherpersons and would like to go fishing. A contribution toward gas would be appreciated. I'm just sending out feelers to see if this is something people might want to do. We'll be working on the paddling options as well, of course. Also, please give me a brief bio - 2 or 3 sentences. If you include your age(s), jobs or special interests, I'll try and match you with hosts of similar interests. This will start to appear in the November (and consecutive) newsletters. sandy kramer miami *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced/forwarded outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: PaddleWise_at_PaddleWise.net Subscriptions: PaddleWise-request_at_PaddleWise.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Oct 23 2000 - 14:46:20 PDT
