Ken _is_ writing a book on oceanography as it relates to sea kayaking
and sea conditions. A "Wave and Beaches" type book specifically for
kayakers. I need to send him some material -- thanks for the indirect
reminder.

<<<Okay PW's guessing game time. Let's hear some guesses as to how much

royalties
on that book).>>>

Well, you usually get an advance in the range of $1000.00 (US). You have
probably already spent that on six-packs of beer getting over the hassle
of writing the book (edit wars with Chris, time-loss from other tasks,
etc).

I doubt very much you have made much past that. At $1.00 a copy once
past the $1,000.00, you should only now just be able to start buying
eight-packs of beer. Of course, your beer down there isn't taxed to
death like in Canada. I say that's around the equivalent of one years
worth of six-packs twice a month. So, how about $1,100.00 total to date?
Heck, I'd write for bear money :-)
