I didn't realize kevlar would darken so easily.  Now I know a second reason for gel coat.
The white stuff doesn't seem to interfer with anything and it does not come off so I 
assume it is now part of the "character" of the boat along with all the scrapes and 
gouges from irreverant rocks.
