I'm pretty sure the inflatable PFDs I referred to in my original post would
prevent a capsize if you pulled the rip cord fast enough, or float your head
above the water if you already had capsized.  They have about 35-38 lbs of
positive buoyancy.  I don't think it would be possible to keep your upper
body submerged with one of these on, even if your lower body was still in
your boat.  You can see them at www.sospenders.com and
