PE gets a little brittle when it gets very cold, so don't drop it when you
take it off. The snow (32 F) won't hurt it any. Actually, snow kayaking in
a short boat is fun. Wear a helmet, but you can skip the PFD.
Actually, the PFD isn't such a bad idea: body armor. Don't use your carbon
paddle.
