Am I the only person that uses rubber boots and a pair of good wool socks? Not the greatest for swimming, but certainly warm and dry for launching and landing. Somewhere I heard about a paddler that took the foot/ankle part of a rubber boot chopped off the top and had drysuit material sewn (waterproof attachment) to it coming up to his knees to reduce the bulk and still have dry feet. with a good shockcord at the top you could keep splashes out of the top too. Of course there is the old New England saying, "If your feet are cold, put on your hat". *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
