[Paddlewise] Armchair Paddlers

One more post before I get caught:

My wife and I were out last month for a stroll. We saw an older couple
paddling down the waterway in one of those beautiful homemade narrow
canoes -- the kind you paddle with a double-ended paddle. They had a
bunch of gear in the back, got out, and set up a couple of lawn chairs
in the noon sun, snacking on bread sticks and such. When I saw the
folding chairs come out, I immediately turned to my wife, and exclaimed
with my fingers tipped on my forehead, "Armchair paddlers!" I knew they
existed somewhere :-).

DL (where its hitting 50 knots north of us tonight out of the inlets,
with cold arctic air -- brrrrr!)
