I find myself looking at a short business trip to Lexington, SC. during the first week of January. Knowing that I could never live with myself if I was that far south and didn't take the time to taste the waters, I ask for the list's collective advise on a local outfitter. I will need to buy a boat in a bag someday, but today is not that day. Does anyone know of something close to Lexington where I could rent or borrow a boat for a 1/2 day paddle? I'm a pretty big guy so I'm not very picky as far as the model of boat is concerned. I might be able to stuff my paddle into a bag but I'd prefer to rent nearly all of the gear that I'd need (boat, skirt, paddle & PFD). I'll bring my own paddling clothes.
