Bob,
I couldn't agree with you more. I've been doing "power yoga" (no chanting) 
for almost a year now primarily to make rolling easier.  My overall strength 
and flexibility has improved immensely.  I know Duane Strosaker does yoga, 
too.  Try it, if you aren't already doing it!
