I have a Patagonia semi dry top made of Gore-Tex with wrist seals but a neoprene neck seal that is more comfortable than a latex gasket. I usually leave the neck open for additional ventilation unless conditions get rough or I want to roll. I have one from Superior Kayaks that is just Gore-Tex (no insulation). SK asks you for a number of body and kayak measurements and then stitches it to fit you and your boat. It permits free movement yet can be used in repeated rolls with only a few droplets finding their way in. I have found it very watertight in heavy surf. I have used it only in fresh water (cause that's where I live). When rolling, I think it's adequate down to 50 degree water, but tastes vary there, and at some point you'll want to insulate body and head if there is any possibility of immersion.
