[Paddlewise] Patron Saints of Kayakers

There was a brief reference a while back to sea kayaking dangers and the
Saint(s) one might implore help from. A very kind soul responded
back-channel with a long, thoughtful info package of historical
perspective and web-site locations discussing the fascinating topic of
Orthodox Saints (no, it wasn't ralph - though he is a kind soul too, and
a modern saint  [and/or angel] of recreational/sport helpfulness). If
anybody would like a copy sent backchannel, give me a shout via same. I
have the author's permission to forward. Though I'm not into chants,
bells and smells in my religious red neck of the woods, I am enthralled
by Orthodoxy's high-brow mystical bent -- something missing in our
post-modern world. N'uff said.
