If all you have is a sprinkle of water I'd live with it. I had my first trip
with dry feet in the winter last weekend in my new Chota mukluks. I just love
them. I would like a bit of a firmer sole because it was hard to step on some
things but ANYTHING as comfortable as those are to paddle in is worth its
weigh in gold when the water is 37º. I have the Chota booties I've used for 2
years and the only time I have wet feet is when I have to step into water
over the top of them to get into and out of the boat. I haven't worn a hole
in them as I have other shoes I paddle in. The fiberglass eats through the
outside of the heel of the shoes.
Good brand and I think good value in my experience.
