I really can't give an opinion on kevlar(haven't used it yet) though I bought one from whetstone (on sale for 85.00 US) after lending my deck and boat to a student at a rolling session in a pool. I found, while washing out the deck after the session, that he had ripped a 2" tear in the front. I don't know whether he knew it so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but it would be diabolical not to tell me if he had known. I think that the kevlar may have resisted this tear but this is conjecture. Any thoughts?
