Sun Block - Why ??

I have lived in Southern California for about 60 years - Sun almost every
day -
Never use any sun protection except sun glasses, and eye shade hat - What is
with the wimps and their gloves, sun block and all that ??

As far as grip the paddle - Use your hands - Callouses and all.
