I don't know if it's intende dfor anything but neoprene, but we've also
thrown our paddling jackets in.

It's safe for any materials including PFDs, skirts, inside paddle ferrules,
washing out boats after storage..almost anything that stinks. You can also
wash your dog in it after a skunk encounter..

I throw in a cup of Vinegar into about 20 gallons of water for the odor problem

That will treat the surface, but odor is cause by bacteria metabolizing
nutrients within the structure of the neoprene. STS has live cultures that
permeate the neoprene during the drying process and actually out compete the
existing bacteria for the same food source. The result is a biologically
clean item, and you don't smell like a salad..he heh.
