Yesterday at Mission Bay, San Diego I saw an unusual kayak - Very light weight - Easy to lift with one hand - Made out of kevlar - With an unusual crossing pattern in the hull - About a dozen strands of material at a time running in one direction and a dozen running another way in a heringbone pattern. Un painted. The owner indicated that this was a whitewater racing kayak about 14 years old.. It had no floation, bulkheads, at all - The boat had a foreign sounding name and had an usual flare at the bow line just astern of the paddler. The top of the kayak had a pronounced grove running down the center of the top of the craft. Of course, I asked and promptly forget all the information about the boat. HELP - Can anybody Identify this boat from this meger description.
