Mark: Excellent! ESAD is a tremendous contribution to qajaqophonics, although spamson will be entered in the Concise Qajaq Dictionary as well as sp*ns*n. This reminds me of the climbing protection device known as "Friends". For a while they were the only ones of their kind, and the name was used generically, much like Brits use hoovering for vacuum cleaning. Other designs came along, and the term SLCD was coined, for spring loaded camming device. Is the Tim Ingram product is the only ESAD on the market? I have a Mariner paddlefloat, and with a bit of modification, say four attachment points near each corner, I think it could do double duty as an ESAD. Good idea?
