So I was thinking of a GPS, but of course since I do almost all my paddling in the NYC harbor, I didn't really need one... Then I read an article about Geocaching, and kept talking about it so my wife gets me a GPS for Christmas. I go out and "stash a cache" and the next thing I know the village voice makes it famous, check out: http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0106/gray.shtml For info on the cache see: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=382 Now I just have to get back up there and make sure it is still there before the weather gets too warm and the cache nija jumps in the water... Geocaching by kayak seems like one of the best ways to do it around the city since you are most likely to have clear sightlines and find remote places. Has anybody else thought of doing this by boat??? -- +------------------------------------------------+ | Tim Gamble (212) 385-0200 v | | Syllog Inc.
