Joch, Remember to place the antenna at least three feet from your radio to avoid interference. The radio you are looking at claims to be waterproof. Do you know the definition of waterproof by this company? It might not be the same as yours. I have learned that lesson the hard way and an inoperable radio was the result. I have wanted to do this myself and hope you will will post more on this when you get your rig set up.
