Yeah! Heinz Zoelzer is an interesting and unsusal type of paddler, inventor, builder..... Here in germany it will says: "Zoelzer quality for Zoelzer prices." But thats okay. Good things have their price and soo expensive - he isnīt. Good things will function longer and longer without problems, so they are cheaper... Like Jackets from North Face or Berghaus... If you got too much money and want something special, he could build it espescially for you. By some things you might must wait for it, because they canīt got anythng on stock and build most things only time by time, but Kayaker have to be flexible, so itīs no problem. If you or someone else need further Infos or have special questions, I might help. ... Essen isnīt so far away and sometimes I like to drive long tours with bicycle, if there is sense to do so. For me itīs sometimes crazy, when I got an idea and think about how I could realize it. Then I hear about the newest idea from Zoelzer - and he has found a realisation. Like his new Skeg-rudder-system, or the paddle-safer. But my version of safe my paddle with an elastic strap is easier and more comfortely. Some funny comment from him, when I ask him how much it would cost, fit my Sirius with the skeg-rudder. His answer: "find a good insurance, paddle out, sunk it and buy a new one..... its cheaper and easier then." :-))) Zoelzer gots now a new companion, maybe a foreshadowing of his retirement. I think, the man is good choice! So, the Zoelzer company will stay on! best regards Jochen Grikschat *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
