They are foldable, easily confused with a canoe, and bright red Their purpose in life (my life!) is to broaden my horizons and allow me to paddle while on my fly 'n camp vacations Because I couldn't find a pal willing to buy his or her own, I had to "deliver" a pair so I can have a paddling companion (My generosity/stupidity are equally boundless) I sold two little boats last year, and have one more up for sale (Kiwi Tadpole, very limited uses) So they are replacing some of the smaller members of the fleet The "hospital" bill was initially supposed to be taken care of with the sale of the Gypsy, my fiberglass boat, but the Homeless Paddlers convinced me to keep her. (Oh, dear, it is so hard to part with one's offspring, isn't it?) Fortunately, the "doctor" reduced his fee by delivering returned "demo" boats Anyway, a wee longevity bonus will pay for one of them, and I'll have to sweat out payment of the second Once they are paid for, I will then order the spraydecks ($200 each - ouch!) that come with snaps and make Puffins look like kayaks, and bring the weight to 22 lbs. Oh, yes, and then I'll need 4-piece paddles!
