G'Day Joan and Paddlewise, Like Joan, I'm also trying to upgrade rolling skills - can only rely on a Pawlata at the moment. Occasionally manage a succesful screw roll. The problem is a poor hip flick and no swimming pool so I've started using a paddlefloat at a local beach and practice hip flicks hanging off the paddlefloat and trying to minimise the pressure of hanging onto the paddle. I've also started reentries and rolls using the back somersault under the boat. Find this much easier than lying sideways with the boat, which some of my friends use, but constantly bang my baldish head on the front deck. Scarred head now makes me resemble a football hooligan! Any suggestions for avoiding this, or else a source of skull caps? Fortunately the deck has suffered no serious damage :~) All the best, PeterO ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
