Jim,

The easiest solution for transport of a kayak with any of the later and
stronger Goldwings would be one of the smaller/lighter motorcycle cargo
tailers already available which can be modified with a rack to hold the yak
and with a slightly longer towbar or added extension to accomodate the yak's
length.

Subject: [Paddlewise] folding kayaks & motorcycle sidecars

A friend of mine just got hooked on sea kayaking. He drives a Honda
Goldwing motorcyle with a sidecar, so I am trying to find the perfect boat
for him. Most of his paddling will be mixed touring, in lakes and rivers
with the odd trip to the coast where he may be out for a few days.

My suggestion was for him to pick up a Feathercraft K1 Expedition or
something along those lines. His preference is also to pick up a second hand
boat.

My questions are this:

Anybody have any recommendations on models of folding kayaks ?
Anybody have any suggestions for suppliers for used folding kayaks ?
:)
Jim
