I'd agree with Ralph and Lyle on the Kahuna. Tremendous value in boat
with great performance. For a hard shell kayaker I wouldn't go with one
of the wider boats.

Used K-1s seem to be available, but they cost about what a Kahuna does
(or more), and unless you plan on carrying 200lbs of gear, the Kahuna's
a better choice.
