I would hesitate using acetone as it is a solvent for gel coat .  You will
notice a gel coat colored residue on your rag after rubbing acetone on
fiberglass.  We have a strict rule around the shop to NOT use acetone on a
finished f/g boat.  It is a disaster to use it on Royalex!  It's OK to use
it on poly/plastic.  I would use paint thinner <mineral spirits> or WD40 to
remove any sticker glue.
