[Paddlewise] panic in the pool, terror in the rapids

I've followed the thread about teaching methods and the thought that struck
me was how many people would want to be on a kayak expedition in whitewater
with someone who had already suffered severe panic attacks in a pool class?
In an expedition, if one person in the group decides in mid-trip that they
can't face another rapids, doesn't that tend to destroy the trip for
everyone else?
