Where I came from, many years ago and in the far cold north, it was bad tale etiquette to imply any story was not the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I really did enjoy Rev. Bob's story, but he did open the door for other stories. Good tale etiquette always requires that a better story be told. I'm sure with the wealth of experience in the paddlewise group there must be other stories out there. But as the Ojibway, who I grew up with would say, all stories must stop at the spring thaw because the spirits will wake up and they may come to disagree with your telling of things.
