The DFWseayakers http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DFWseayakers have planned a group camping & kayaking outing which will last 6-9 April at Caddo Lake in TX/LA. We will have somewhere between 30-36 people/kayaks in attendance. Promises to be a wonderful experience. I will write a reasonable trip report and include pictures for Jackie to put on the Paddlewise web site if she is willing. If she has trouble, I will also put same on the Foldableseayakers site. See site below. Highlights include: Alligators, Cypress, Snakes, Fish, Waterfowl, 20 mile paddles, flooded camp sites, planned primitive camping on Goat Island (if not flooded), Turtles, grasping water plants (to pick off those rolling fools), etc. The subscription / attendance is pretty much closed for this year but I am the Chair next year and we hope to increase attendance. There is a resort/motel for those who are not into camping, and we have regular camping with electricity and hot showers in addition to the primitive folks (you know, the pack EVERYTHING out with you people) so mark your April calendar for next year.
