[Paddlewise] anyone paddle in a thunderstorm ?

I will remember that next time i am using any of my carbon fiber paddles in 
a storm. (carbon fiber DOES conduct electricity. To me it is the only real 
downside to owning only carbon paddles, other than the hole in my wallet).
A scary thought now too, that i have just ordered a carbon fiber racing 
canoe, but that's less likely to be used on foul weather days than my kayaks 
and kayak paddles.
Thanks for your input, as this is a real concern to me and the people i 
paddle/camp with.
