>with my neoprene skirt when I use my foot pump. It is air tight and the > skirt slowly concaves in as I pump But if there is soo much water in the cockpit - how it get in? Through a closed sprayskirt? I f you just closed it after a re-entry, don´ßt close it completeley an ready. I use normal sprayskirts, meanwhile selfmade, and got no problems. a self bailer might a little bit big for a kayak. who wants to make a real hole in the bottom? What happens if you get caught with an edge from the bailer on something else?? --------- Most kayak will be unstable if full with water, not my Umiak. I filled him completely sitting inside. Okay, there was a little airbag in the front. The Kayak lay total stable, but difficult to manoeuvre. What a wonder!
