The victim was from --- and assumedly put in from --- the Virginia side. Hope to have some details tomorrow. From what I think I know now, he was not dressed for cold water. I spoke with a DNR policeman familiar with this case today. It appears Mr. Graber (the kayaker) was picking trash out of the water (stowing it both on the deck and in the cockpit, behind the seat) in rather windy, rough conditions. Initial findings are that it was not a heart attack - probably drowning or hypothermia. I referred the DNR police to a very knowledgable kayak accident investigator, who you probably know. The more we know, the safer we can be! My prayers to Mr. Graber's family.
