Hi folks -

I am considering a trip (maybe 10 days) exploring the coast of Acadia
National Park.  Hoping to camp along the way, possibly with a night or
two in an inn.  Does anyone have any information on this area, camping,
or lodging information?  What about weather - is the start of hurricane
season a reason to avoid September?

A wonderful source of information specific to kayaking in Acadia National 
Park is "The Sea Kayaker's guide to Mount Desert Island" published by Down 
East Books. Kayaking the coastal waters of the park, particularly up into 
Somes Sound, was, by far, our most memorable  kayaking trip.  Have fun.
