Hello,
I hope this isn't redundant.
After reading a discussion re contacts, laser surgery etc., I decided to
pass along something that helps those who just need reading glasses to
read charts, GPS, watch, etc while wearing sunglasses. It is a stick-on
reading lens for sunglasses, safety glasses, or dive masks. I've been
using them for a few years. They work great, don't wash out -even in
rough whitewater, can be trimmed, removed, and come in several powers.

I get the OPTX from Cabelas(fishing catalog), as well as their TR-3
deluxe wrap polarized sunglasses for 29.99. These glasses have held up
better than much more expensive shades, and the polarization is great
for seeing under the surface, cutting glare etc. They worked great on
long Baja trips, padling south into glare all day. I'm rough on
sunglasses, but have never broken a pair. When they get old and
scratched, I spray them with some Armorall, and they seem to be
rejuvenated (somewhat). Maybe not a good idea? Someone once told me that
scratched sunglasses can let in random UV that can be harmful.
(No connection to these outfits)
