RE: [Paddlewise] Paddling in Chincoteague

John, I live somewhat in the area (about 1.5 or so hour drive to
Chincoteague), and would love to join you for a paddle, but the dates aren't
going to work for me.  Wild River Outfitters has already been mentioned.
It's the largest and best in the area, and is only about 10 minutes from the
airport.  Someone mentioned 30 minutes, but I can be at WRO in 30-40 minutes
from here, and I have to pass by the airport to do it....... anyway, it's
relatively close.

Another option for you is to post to the Cheseapeake Paddlers Association
listserve.  You have to sign-up on on the list first, of course.  They are
rather large, and have people all over the Eastern Shore and up and down the
Bay in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, etc. including people on the Eastern
Shore. You might find someone on that list who would be interested in an
outing with you.  There are a number of them who are also on this listserve
as well.... perhaps one of them could comment more on good places to go in
Chincoteague and the surrounding area.
