Wow! What a horrid experience! I’m glad the four of you survived, and I am astounded at the behaviour of the jet-skier. I’m curious. Was the fellow ticketed for a safe boating infraction, or was he given a summons to stand against assault charges? It would seem to me (although I am not a criminal lawyer in your jurisdiction) that he should at least be charged with assault x 4, and given the circumstances perhaps aggravated assault x 4 (or whatever equivalent charges you have there).
