To All That are Interested:

Yes, there will be a trip to Todos Santos Island this Memorial Day.

Join me and the members of the San Diego Kayak Club for a paddle to Todos
Santos Island - Located about 10 miles West of Ensenada, Baja Mexico. Todos
Santos Island is known for it's beauty, solitude, some of the biggest surf in
North America. A natural bird sanctuary, multi-species of seals, sea lions.
I have been there three times in as many months. I will return many more
times.

General Itinerary:

May 24 - Meet at my house at 6 pm - Convoy to Campo La Jolla - Camp overnight
May 25 - Obscenely early in the morning - Paddle to Todos Santos Island
May 26 - Circumnavigate the Island(s)
May 27 - Back to the Mainland - Motor to USA

More information to be posted on my web site. I will notify when the web site
is updated.

Criteria:

This is generally considered an intermediate/advanced paddle.
You must have: Made this trip, or equivalent trip before, -or-
Be able to paddle 10 miles (With stiff head winds, wind waves, and Pacific
Swells) - and -
Be able to handle surf launches and landings on cobblestone beaches. - and -
Be proficient in self and assisted rescue.

General Camping on Todos Santos Island is primitive -
Each person, or small group, is to be totally self supporting with their own
camping equipment, cooking, meals, tent etc.
You should bring - Three gallons of water per person.
A bigger list of what to carry will be posted to my web site before Tuesday
-April 24

The trip will be limited to twelve persons - I have received conformation from
a few people already. Email me directly if you are interested...
