There have been quite a number of discussions about gear/events here and where those things might be obtained/found. That isn't the problem. The issue is one where a merchandiser/outfitter comes on to promote their own goods. It's the "for-profit" commercial ads that are a problem and what we are trying to avoid, although I think folks might not be too happy to receive a stream of posts on all types of gear found in specific locations that few can get to. Remember, we have subscribers here from all this planet. And, we already have quite a bit of traffic... usually. The info should be of general interest. Maybe I need to clarify that the no commercial promotion policy is about not using PaddleWise as a billboard for advertising one's own business? btw... selling personal gear and kayaks is ok. That's specifically covered in the policy included in the intro which curious folks can find at: http://www.paddlewise.net/intro.html Cheers, Jackie *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
